PM Narendra Modi will release the 13th installment of the Rs 16,000 cr PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana in Karnataka on February 27

New Delhi, Feb 25 (latestnewsx.com): Prime Minister Narendra Modi is releasing a new installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) during his visit to Karnataka on February 27. This will amount to around Rs 16,000 crore.

The Prime Minister will visit Shivamogga Airport and then inspect multiple projects in the city. He will then inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for them all.

He will lay the foundation stone for multiple development initiatives in Belagavi, and dedicate them to improving the city’s quality of life.

With the inauguration of Shivamogga Airport, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s emphasis on improving air connectivity across the country will be given yet another boost.

The new airport has been developed for a cost of around Rs 450 crore. It is capable of handling 300 passengers per hour.

Prime Minister Modi is going to lay the foundation stone for two railway projects in Shivamogga. The first is a new railway line connecting Shivamogga with Shikaripura and Ranebennur, and the second is a coaching depot to help start new trains from Shivamogga. These projects will cost around Rs 990 crore and will provide much-needed connectivity in the Malnad region, as well as help to decongest maintenance facilities in Bengaluru and Mysuru.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for multiple road development projects that will cost more than 215 crore. These projects include construction of a new Bypass road for Shikaripura Town on NH 766C connecting Byndur – Ranibennur; widening of NH-169A from Megaravalli to Agumbe; and construction of a new bridge at Bharathipura in Thirthahally Taluk on NH 169.

During the programme, the Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of multiple villages schemes that collectively total more than $950 million. This includes the inauguration of one multi-village scheme in Gowthamapura and 127 other villages, and the laying of the foundation stone for three other multi-village schemes that are collectively worth more than $860 million.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate 44 Smart City Projects worth over Rs 895 crores in Shivamogga city. Each of these projects will help improve the city’s infrastructure and make it more efficient and accessible.

The 13th instalment of PM-KISAN will release funds to more than 8 crore beneficiaries. The Prime Minister will dedicate the redeveloped Belagavi Railway Station building to the nation. This Railway Station is redeveloped at an approximate cost of about Rs 190 Crore, providing world-class amenities to passengers.

The Prime Minister has announced a rail project that will improve line capacity along the Mumbai-Pune-Hubballi-Bengaluru railway line, making it easier for businesses and trade to thrive in the region.

He will lay the foundation stone of six multi village schemes projects under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Belagavi, which will be developed at a cumulative cost of about Rs 1585 crore and will benefit about 8.8 lakh population of more than 315 villages.
